The boys: Joseph

I met Joseph at night and it was raining. I was from the restaurant where I used to work. I was walking on a street and saw poor Joseph. I asked him what he was doing on the street and he told me he was homeless. He wasn’t shabbly dressed like was the case with street kids. He told me he had been abandoned by his real mum in a tax park a week ago. He didn’t know the mum’s name not even the village where he lived but from his accent I was able to tell that he came from western Uganda. I asked him about his Dad who I found out he died before his birth.
